In anticipation of collecting Peter's shiny new Crusader Caravan from Lewis RV, he needed his RAM 2500 ready to tow and for added safety, a front and rear dash camera.
Peter's Tow & Safety Package included a genuine Grey 50A Anderson plug Charge Circuit, switched on and off by the ignition, so there's no need to unplug your rig for an overnighter.
This plug is for charging the Crusaders batteries via a REDARC BCDC1250 mounted in the Crusader which converts energy from the alternator in to charge for the batteries when the vehicle is running.
Please note the plugs do not protrude passed the bumper or tow hitch. They are in the same position as the factory trailer plug. It is the angle of the photo only.
Peter's new Crusader features an air pressurising system called Carafan, which aids in the prevention of dust ingress into the caravan when in transit. So we installed a genuine Yellow 50A Anderson plug Carafan circuit which is also switches on and off by the ignition so the Carafan automatically comes on when the vehicle is running and switches off when not.
Peter preferred the safety of a front and rear dash camera so we sourced the BlackVue DR770X-1CH featuring a Full HD Sony STARVIS™ image sensor which gives the best quality image in any light and also cleverly includes a GPS logger, built-in Wi-Fi, Cloud connectivity and impact and motion detection. This particular unit allows for the addition of a second rear camera which we'll fit once the canopy install is completed.
